A little past lake michie 12. Oil on panel. 36 x 48 inches. 2015

Empty rooms

Empty, but full

Full of the abandoned memories

Thick with stagnant energy

These hallways once creaked

With the weight of bouncing feet

Bouncing and hopping

Playful and mischievous

These wood floors await attention

Attention of the children

That once pranced across its surface

But children grow up

And houses grow old with decay

Decaying wood

Decaying memories

This estranged house still waits.
